The Montessori Educational Method is probably the world’s first brain-based educational method – believed by many to be the best. The method is hands-on learning at its best, allowing the child to develop self-expression, collaboration, and responsibility in a classroom that promotes happiness, respect, and joy of learning. Long before we could look at the brain with MRIs, Dr. Montessori developed an educational method to help a child’s brain develop. Dr. Montessori’s method has been time tested, with more than 100 years of success around the world.

Montessori School at Goose Creek Preserve serves children from ages 2½ to 6. Our teachers guide students through lessons and activities that both tease the child’s curiosity and are tailored to the skill level of each individual child, providing an environment that recognizes and encourages a sense of independence.

The Kindergarten program is a transition year between the absorbent mind and the rational mind. Our Montessori Kindergarten Program builds on the foundation of learning achieved in the first 2 or 3 years in the Montessori environment. It not only allows the child to serve as a role model to the younger students, it also allows him to remain with teachers and students he already knows in a safe and supportive classroom.
